Engine Company Inspections

This module is tailored to what NFPA 1030 calls "First Responder Inspectors." The training is designed to provide the basic information an engine company or company officer needs to perform a fire and life safety inspection. It also comes with our standard retention boosting techniques, plus handouts, activities, and checklists for in-the-field support.

New Construction Inspections

Fire protection installation inspections are by far the most technically demanding, and can have a disastrous effect if not performed correctly. Fire sprinklers and fire alarms are life safety systems, and with the advent of computers to design hydraulic and seismic calculations for us, the days of comforting buffers built-in are gone. Now more than ever it is important that fire inspectors and fire prevention officers understand how these systems are to function and be installed, to ensure that the buildings in your jurisdiction are protected like they should be.

Fire and Life Safety Inspections

This module is for fire inspectors or fire prevention officers who are expected to perform fire and life safety inspections at any occupancy in your jurisdiction. The learning objectives of CSFT Inspector 1A-D is incorporated, but a greater emphasis is placed on how to actually perform an inspection--as well as social skills earned over nine years of inspecting the fifth largest city in California.

The modules currently offered are what we call Certification Track courses. In the near future, we will offer modules and programs which meets your Professional Development and Continuing Education needs as well. Next up on the development priority list is an Annual Training Program which will incorporate certification track content as refresher training for 11 months through the year, with a final month featuring evaluations to test retention and progress. We also intend to develop a outward-facing Fire Safety Public Education program which you can make available to targeted demographics in your community.
